Tour Edge expanded its Exotics line with the XCG driver that features the industry’s first magnesium crown that displaces more weight to the sole. Tour Edge said the magnesium moves more weight to the perimeter for less spin and an extremely high MOI.

PROS
Beautiful club at address. Excellent feel, one of the best drivers for feel I have ever hit. Nicest sound coming off a driver that I have heard in 10 years. DVS shaft is one of my faves on the market right now so it was a slam dunk to pick this one up with the 65 gram dvs for the $399 price point. Tour Edge backs it with a lifetime warranty.

CONS
Not the most forgiving head shape for slow swings. Need to hit it remotely close to square to have a decent result. To get used to it I was doing punch shots with it and it was as far as my Cleveland Launcher Driver from 3 years ago. Fairly light head, may add lead tape. No biggie.

OVERALL
Probably getting 5-7 yards extra. Not as low launching as I have read in all the trade mags. Excellent roll with this shaft. Ballooning is not an option on this club. Can work this club anywhere I wanted. I replaced my Adams Insight XTD A3 10.5 with DVS stock 55 gram with this club and I am very happy. I hit the Adams well but it was scratched very easily and did not look like a top quality club after 3 rounds, more like a Walmart $50 jobby.

PROS
Looks great at address. Gives a few extra yards. Will not correct a bad swing, but enhance a decent - good swing. I carry Exotics, Driver, 4-Wood, 7-Wood and 5-Hybrid. You can feel the head without feeling like you're hitting a toaster. The fairway woods deserve their reputation for distance and accuracy. Very well made and good looking clubs. Love the clubs - dislike the company.

CONS
Forget about their customer service. It doesn't exist. They do not return emails on their own email system. Since the clubs are well-made this may never be a problem for you. However, if you do need customer service - good luck. My rating would be a 10+ if it weren't for the customer service issue.

OVERALL
Worth a look for any mid-handicap player.

PROS
It is a beutiful club.

CONS
The sound is not as good as my 3 year old Exotic Driver abd does not go any farther. I tested it against my older Exotic driver with identical balls and the distance was identical.

OVERALL
I would buy it if my older Exotic was lost or broken.
