John Daly lost over 100 lbs. and says he's off the juice and pills ? He looks like he his in pretty good shape but says he will have to get use to the weight loss as it has changes his golf swing. Made a funny comment the other day , he said " well, at lease no I can see the ball ". Said before the weight loss he couldn't see the ball because his gut was so big and he just addressed the ball and swang at where he thought it should be. Maybe he can get back into the game and get himself together for the 2010 season because I would like to see him out on the course again. I wish him the best of luck !

Gary is still working for the magazine and he does check in to see how things are going in the posts. I heard from him recently and is is doing well. He doesn't post much and I don't blame him for it. As soon as he posts you guys start jumping all over him for stuff that he has no control over.

Froggie I understand that but he did help when ask with a little respect and it was nice to hear from him. I know he can't control the boards because the high school brats that take care of the boards don't want his input so as to help. They seem to have all the answers but have none. I'm sorry I can't be of more help as I would love to see this club and these posts become what they use to be. The posts are not monitored by the club so they are really ours to use. We can make good of them and really help each other out with game tips , stories and to setup member to member golf outings when we are traveling. Not to be rude or to cut you off but, what do you think about John Daly in 2010 ... You think he will finally get it together for a good season ?

I like big John But I think his time has come an gone. He's best hope to is to try and keep playing and staying good enough to keep his card full time. Then he can make the transition to the Champions tour. And with regards to these boards. Yes you are quite right that t used to be a good place for everything golf related but these magazine people who own these site could care less if we were here or not. A lot of us yourself included payed good money when this was a good place to come and keep to date on what is/was happening in the world of golf etc. Now we can get all that and more at www.backspinforums.com site which is made up of mostly the old gang from here. Oh and there's no membership fee  Frank By the way James I commend you for trying to hold unto this site and you are doing your best to keep things going . Frank

If you think about it , the posts have always been OURS to do with as we please. The club didn't monitor them in the old site nor do the monitor them now. We all paid our dues and NO we really didn't get what we paid for but I'm not going to allow that to ruin the posts and all the good times and friends I have made here. Because of the posts I met and shared some golf with great guys and I would not have had that if it wasn't for the posts. I have said this before and I will continue to say it " the Posts Are What WE Make Of Them". I have tried to start new topics and look for ways to get you guys more involved but I CAN NOT make you participate. That is something you must choose to do. The guys that want to keep dragging the posts down that’s fine but, it isn't going to solve anything. I have paid my life dues and I am into the game for life so I have no intention of going anywhere. I will continue to strive for a better place for us to discuss golf and keep the posts going but really it is up to YOU to determine the fate of these posts. I started this topic on John Daly and once again here we are discussing problems with the site ?????

I think John Daly will make it in 2010 or his career is over. I like the guy,he just has to get stupid out of his system. We all know he can play golf if he just puts his mind to it. the coming year will tell.
