I am asked this question all the time. And while most people would assume I would want to play St. Andrews, they couldn't be more wrong. If I could choose any course it would be Pebble Beach. I have walked the beach beside it and there is just a magic to it that draws you in. Watching the tourneys on tv that are played there enhances my desire even more. So hopefully someday when there are no more kids in the house, both of which play golf, I'll make the one time big payout to play the course. So where do you all dream of playing?

The course Tiger Woods is building in Dubai sounds like a great course & I wouldn't mind playing it some day. Maybe if I win the lottery he can be my caddie for the day .... LOL :-) "Froggie" Brown ----- Life Member Since October 2006 -----

I would choose Augusta National. I've never been there, but apparently TV doesn't do the elevation changes any justice. ...Plus, it's home of The Masters every year. The Old Course is a close second. If I ever get a chance I would go to St Andrews and play the " Old Course" " I gotta go where it is Warm" Jimmy Buffet!

In the U.S. I would say Augusta...Amen Corner and all, the Masters. In the world I would say a course in Germany or Austria for the scenery. No specific course in mind though. How about a round during Oktober Fest and combine two passions, Good Golf and Great Beer! Volando Libermur

I'll let you know about the "Old Course" after I play it next May. In the states, I'd have to say Augusta.

One that doesnt charge greens fees and has smoking hot cart girls and free beer. Other than that, I will play anywhere, Im not picky. The only sure way to find a ball sliced into the woods is to hit a provisional straight down the fairway.

h97 I agree with you with the exception the course must have a Senior discount and the smoken hot cart girls must have a father figure fetish and to play from the forward tee's!!!!! Keep it in the short grass!

If everythings already free, what do you need a senior discount for? The only sure way to find a ball sliced into the woods is to hit a provisional straight down the fairway.

KB: I hope that you won't be disappointed, because by the time you get to MB, all the smoking hot cart girls will have been replaced with cart grannies. Those girls usually leave when it get cooler.

Free golf + a senior discount ... does that mean they owe you $$$ to play at their course :-) "Froggie" Brown ----- Life Member Since October 2006 -----

Definitely Pebble Beach. Just came back from visiting my son in Monterrey and all I can say it's expensive! but probably worth it.

In the US it'd have to be a toss up between Pebble Beach and Augusta. If I had the chance to play anywhere in the world I'd like to play one of the courses in New Zealand.

I'd have to say Augusta National. I live only an hour frrom Augusta in Columbia SC and actually used to work across the river from Augusta in Aiken and have been by the front gates but have never been inside.

If I had to choose just one, I would have to pick Augusta National. That was the one tournament I always watched as a kid and marveled at how beautiful it was. I didn't even play the game. Pebble Beach would be a VERY close second.

It would have to be St. Andrews, not only for the course and history but the beauty of Scottland itself.

My first choice would be the Cypress Point Golf Course, Which is right by the Pebble Beach Golf Course, Which would be my second choice. Cypress Point is a great looking course that sits on the edge of the Pacific Ocean. Cypress Point is extremely difficult or impossible to play for the average golfer. Usually, one needs to have certain types of contacts or be a well known person to get on this course. Thank you

This past April my wife, myself and three other couples went on a road trip for 14 days starting at San Francisco and endind in wine country just above L. A., We played River Walk ( Nice course) in San Francisco and made our way up the costal highway and stopped at Pebble Beach (never been there) just to see the course, much to our amasement when we told them we were going to stay for diner (8 people) they invited us into the lounge and rolled out a hudge table for for our party and we had the choice off any of there menus sitting at the picture window over looking the 18 th green ( WHAT A SIGHT) !! We were told that we could get a tee time that day if we wanted it but we had our wifes with us and (they don't play) did not want to play because we did not plan on it. "Yes" this would be the course I would want to play because of the history and the way the people at the course made us feel comfortable (NOT TO MUCH OF THAT GOING ON TODAY) YOU BETCHA I WOULD
